On Christmas Eve morning Gumball our elf left a scavenger hunt for the kids to do. They had to find 4 different clues around the house to find their Christmas eve pj's. This is a tradition that is carried on from Tim's family and is now a tradition in most homes. I never grew up with this tradition but have loved doing this with Tim and our kids.

That day, my parents took all of us to see a movie. The older kids and my parents went and saw the new Star wars movie and the rest of us went to see the Chipmunk movie. The kids seriously loved the movie, and I have even caught Mason singing and saying the lyrics of the movie! They had the cutest movie display for the upcoming movie called Zootopia. The kids thought it was pretty cool to pretend to be riding the subway with the animals,

Later that day, we went to Tim's grandma's rest home to her annual Christmas party. This has been a tradition in Tim's home since Tim was a baby. All his cousins would spend the entire Christmas eve night at his grand parents home. We have continued this tradition to go to the party every year to see grandma.

Our family with Tim's grandma at 96 years old
That night, my parents took us to dinner at the Red Maple. The rest of my siblings alternate Christmas Eve/Christmas day every other year. The year that they alernate for Christmas Eve, our family usually ends up going to dinner with my parents after we visit with Tim's family. This year we went to dinner and then came back home and had the kids open a few presents that were games that we could play. Mason had been wanting Jenga, and Allie loves Sequence. We also got Pop the Pig, Life and Old Maid that the kids love to play. We played games for the rest of the night with my parents.
