We woke up to a very white Christmas. We ended up with at least a foot of snow on the ground. The kids were super excited and Mason ended up sleeping next to Allie in her bed. They woke up a few times during the night wanting to know if it was morning. But, then ended up sleeping till 7 am. They both came running down the stairs waking Tim and I up. We spent the next few hours opening gifts and stockings. Allie was so excited for the "American girl" doll that she wanted. Mason really was happy when he saw he got "Lego Dimensions" for the Wii U. It was a great Christmas! We enjoyed spending time with family and celebrating the birth of the Savior. My mom got me a book to read my kids called "I believe in Santa Claus." I read this to my kids this Christmas and loved it. You can buy this book at Desert book. It talks about the symbolism of Santa to Jesus. How they both wear red, have white hair, and love little kids. That believing in Santa is the spirit of Christmas. This is something that can never be taken from you. My mom always told me "always believe." And no matter what other kids say, "It's up to you to always believe and if you believe you will receive." To this day, "I still believe" and will always and it is my hope that my kids will too.

Later that morning, we went to Tim' parents house for breakfast. We had pancakes, donuts, cinnamon rolls, bacon and hasbrowns. We opened cousin gifts and grandparents gifts. Allie was super excited for the monster high purse she got from her cousin Kenlee,

That afternoon we went to my parents house for lunch. We had ham, my grandma Morrison's famous baked beans, rolls, salad and appetizers. Every year my mom write a story for the grand kids and reads it to them, she then has the book printed on a hardbound book and gives it to each family. This is something the kids look forward to each Christmas. This years book was called "Millie the Magnificent." It was about an ancestor of my mom's who traveled the plains with her kids when he husband passed away. She always seems to write fun fairy tales that involve our family in one way or another.
