My little buddy turned 5 today! It seems like yesterday, we were bringing him home from the hospital. At that time I had two babies in diapers. I can't believe how fast time goes by. I'm trying my very best to soak in these younger years with my children.
Mason has really been anticipating his birthday for a while. it's been fun to see the excitement he has. Mason is my brave little man, he has gone through 2 scary bacterial infections that he conquered with strength and bravery. He is the first to try something new. He swam with the dolphins at 3 years old, went first at the dentist to have his teeth cleaned, while his older sister watched. He is a great example to me.
Mason loves to play soccer, loves to go with daddy to the BYU football games, and is really into technology. He loves the Wii U. He asked for video games for his birthday and can watch u-tube demonstrations of people playing video games all day long. He can make Naomi giggle like no else, and through all these layers he's as sweet as the come. We do love you buddy!
As a birthday tradition (since Allie and Mason's birthday are two weeks apart) we take the kids to see Disney on Ice each year for their birthday. We went and saw the Disney show on Saturday, which the kids loved. It was fun to see the excitement in Naomi's eyes as she saw the characters ice skate as well.

On Sunday we made Mason's favorite brownies. Mason requested that he blows out candles for practice. Ha!

Mason woke up at 6:30PM screaming for me, I woke up panicked and he said, "Mommy, I need to go to the bathroom, can I come out of my room?" I told him of course. He opened his door to find his doorway decorated, three banners all around the house with balloons! He was so happy!
Mason choose to have a Jake and the Neverland Party this year. He invited a few friends and his cousins that are his age to Jungle Jim's. His party will be tomorrow. In honor of Jake and the Neverland Pirates, Tim made his card out of that. He incorporated us all in the card, like he does each year! The kids love seeing the birthday card that dad always makes. |
