My Aunt Sharon Frenette Penny's Funeral

Today was the funeral for my aunt Sharon. She passed away on Friday January 16th 2015, after a terrible battle of ALS. She qualified to be a member of the US Ski team when she was 19 years old, but a car accident left her paralyzed from the waist down, which left her a wheelchair since the age of 19. She then became a renowned wheelchair racer.  She still holds the overall title in the St. George Marathon. 

She was a great example of such strength and determination and overcoming many huge challenges in her life. She got married and raised a baby girl, Alexis, who was my side kick since the day she was born.  I'm grateful to know she is free from all those struggles as well as the physical challenges that came with being in a wheelchair and suffering from the horrible disease of ALS, that eventually took her life. She was beautiful, fun and very out-going.
