Disney World and Cruise

Disney Cruise 2014

Fantasy Disney Cruise Ship
We recently returned from our anticipated Disney Cruise with Tim's entire family. We had been planning and counting down the days for this once in a lifetime vacation. Tim's parents were extremely generous in providing this opportunity for the entire family. Allie and Mason were all smiles as we loaded up our suitcases and headed over to Grandma and Grandpa Kehl's the morning of January 23rd! This was Mason's first airplane ride and he was eager to ride!  Tim's sister, Julie and her family went a week earlier. We met up with Chad, Tim's brother and his kids at Tim's parents house. We were picked up and taken to the airport. The kids did awesome on the 4.5 hour flight. (all thanks to those kindle fire tablets)

We arrived in Florida around 5:30 PM, where we loaded up and taken to the Disney World Resort by the Magical Express bus. We spent the night at the All Star Movies Resort! The kids were extremely hyper! They were excited to be with their cousins at the Happiest Place on Earth!

We spent the next day riding the rides at Magic Kingdom. It was super cold! I don't remember a time I was that cold at a theme park and we were in FLORIDA! It was such crazy weather.  We still had tons of fun! Thank goodness once we got on the ship, the weather was perfect!

We boarded the Disney Cruise "Fantasy" that Saturday, January 25th...and the remaining  7 nights on the cruise was simply magical!

The kids had a blast at the kids club play area. They spent most of the first day there playing with their cousins. We had two days at Sea, and then our first stop was on the Island of St. Marten.
We went on an excursion to a butterfly farm and explored the Island on a bus tour. The next morning we spent the say exploring the Island of St. Thomas. Our family, spent the day together shopping at the local outside markets, and went on a sky-ride up to Paradise Point to see the beautiful views of St. Thomas. We went to a bird show, and saw some amazing tricks parrots can do!

Days at Sea:

The days went by so quickly, we spent the days at sea meeting all the Disney Characters and getting their autographs! Allie was so excited to meet Belle,Ana from Frozen, Tiana, and Cinderella. Mason was so excited to meet Jake, Buzz and Woody! Every night they had a awesome musical or performance show on board the ship. Disney did a great job with the entertainment for the kids. They also had a detective game where you go around the cruise ship looking for clues to solve mysteries! The kids loved finding all the clues! The ship had three dinning rooms and ever night we would rotate between the three dinning rooms. Each room was elegant. The one dinning room called the Animator's Palate. It was awesome! The last night of our cruise we were given a place mat to draw a figurine or character on and they had the drawing come to life on huge screens! It was super cool!

 Kennedy's Space Center:

After we spent 7 nights on the ship, we decided to stay a few extra days to see Kennedy's Space Center. We have never been and I must say it was very interesting. I'm sincerely grateful for the astronauts that sacrificed so much to explore the universe.
